Core Process – Discovering your purpose
When you work with Philip as a mentor, you’ll find one of the many tools that he uses is Core Process.
Developed by Chris Bull and introduced into ICI in the early 1970′s, Core Process is a pair of words that capture the essence of you at your best. It will help you to really understand why you are who you are and why you do what you do.
The impact of Core Process on each person is remarkable and, in nearly every case, results in a change of behaviour based on their new-found understanding of ‘self’. Be prepared for an incredible journey to your core and the ability to see your world from a completely different perspective.
Philip is a Core Process Practitioner and one of the founders of The Flame Institute, which is dedicated to helping people discover and use their Core Process to maximum effect. He has also set up a dedicated web site called The Core Process Experience where his clients share what their Core Process means to them.
Articles about Philip and Core Process have appeared in the Goldjobs.com July 2008 Newsletter, the Institute of Directors Hertfordshire Magazine (Summer 2006) and Topnotch, the newsletter of topinterim.com.
So what do Philip’s clients say?
A rare opportunity to reflect
The core process experience was a rare opportunity to sit back and reflect on what motivated me and what I found essential to ensure any experience was personally rewarding. It allowed me to distill personal drive and passion into a simple and memorable phrase which crystalised everything I hold most dear about my own values. Now anything I do in work or personally has to pass the ‘CP’ test…if it doesn’t, it gets very rapidly stopped.

It’s brilliant!
A Core Process is an extraordinary journey of self-discovery. Deftly guided by Philip de Lisle, you spend a few enjoyable hours talking about yourself and, before you know it, the reason why you are on the planet pops out. ‘Doing Parables‘ just feels so right. Everyone should do this with Philip – it’s brilliant!

I feel genuinely enlightened!
I found the process interesting. Of course, I made the early mistake of going down the business route and forgetting this was about me and not business per se. Philip was masterful in keeping me to the correct task and after a lot of pondering two words just felt absolutely right, ‘Inspiring Success‘. It’s only a couple of words I kept saying to myself … but I couldn’t hold the tears back. It made so much sense and I could attribute many activities I have been involved in throughout my eventful 56 years, that when success was enjoyed and I felt such a strong sense of achievement, my Core Process clearly supported the outcome so effortlessly.
